Articles

10 operations

  • Create an article draft — Creates a draft from `content_markdown` (max 400 KB). Supports headings, lists, quotes, emphasis, links, HTTP(S) images, and standalone X post embeds. Unsupported constructs become plain text with `warnings`; non-HTTP(S) image/link URLs return 400.
  • Delete an article — Deletes the article and refunds quota if it was scheduled. Works for the main and linked accounts; shared accounts are read-only.
  • Generate an AI cover image — Generates a 2.5:1 cover from the required title and attaches it by default. `attach: false` leaves the cover unchanged. Choose `style_id` or `style_text` (max 8,000 characters), not both; unknown IDs return `404 cover_style_not_found`.
  • Get an article — Returns the article and `content_markdown`; rich-text constructs that Markdown cannot express may appear as plain text.
  • List articles — Long-form X Articles for the selected account, newest-updated first. Article bodies do NOT appear in lists; fetch one article for its markdown body.

  • Schedule or reschedule an article — Schedules `scheduled_for` in UTC ISO 8601 with an explicit offset, over 2 minutes ahead. Draft scheduling deducts quota (refunded on unschedule/delete); rescheduling is free. Supports `Idempotency-Key`; shared accounts are read-only.
  • Unschedule an article — Moves a scheduled article back to draft and refunds its scheduling quota. Works for the main and linked accounts; shared accounts are read-only.
  • Edit an article — Updates supplied fields only. `content_markdown` replaces the full body; `cover_url` accepts an HTTP(S) image URL or `null` to remove it. Main and linked accounts are writable; shared accounts are read-only.
